Lock Haven, PA Regatta • Stock and Modified Outboard Power Boat Racing

Just about every Labor Day I try to make it up to Lock Haven, PA to watch the boat races. I've been going since I was born, and raced there for over ten years myself. My family carries on the tradition, but I still like to go to watch and help out. Of course, I usually bring my camera and take a few photos while I'm there. Millville Fall Regatta

This weekend I was able to make it down to Millville to take in a boat race at Laurel Lake. The fall Millville regatta was my first race way back when (and apparently my grandfather's too). There weren't too many boats racing this year, but it was still great to see everyone there. It is always a little sad to go to the last race of the year because it signifies that winter is coming....ugghhh

Lock Haven, PA 2008

Bethany and I made the trip up to Lock Haven for the boat races this year. It was the first time she has gone to a race and the first time I've raced in about four years (even though I only made it out for one heat of racing). We did manage to squeeze off a few photos in between racing, helping my brother race and working.

Whitney Point, NY / Stock Mod Nationals

I made the drive to Whitney Point, NY for the Stock and Modified Nationals this year. It was great getting to see old friends. I timed my trip just right as they had some problems with weather this year and pushed all the final races back to Saturday. I did miss the A Hydro and Dylan Runne winning both the J classes, but it was really peaceful sitting along the river bank by the first turn shooting photos. I even got a shot of a giant crane that was flying past.
